Brooshee - Made From The Stone

Hi. I'm Brooshee. I was born and grew up in the Polish capital - Warsaw. Here, in my home studio, I am composing and recording my music to share it with you. I am an independent musician, singer, songwriter and music producer, without a label, liabilities and all the other stuff that makes music more complicated. Here, I can focus only on what’s important - the music.

My musical journey began when I was 8 years old. My parents saw the spark in my eye when I was watching and listening to a musician playing accordion. They decided to sign me up to the music school, from which I graduated a few years later, from the accordion and piano class. Next on the checklist was the music high school, in the arrangement and instrumentation class.

In the meantime, when I was 12, maybe 13 years old, together with my friend Sebastian, we started our musical journey. We used to meet after school, and hand in the earplugs to our parents; after which we sat until late at night composing our first songs. It was a real masterpiece - at least for us… It was also the time when we were fascinated by the music of the Beatles. We practically knew most of their songs by heart. We decided then, that one day we will repeat their success. It wasn’t only about the commercial success. We wanted to create the most beautiful songs in the world. It was a wonderful time. Children's dreams and belief in the ease of their fulfillment gave us the tremendous strength to further develop on the stony road of novice musicians.

Today, I am a quarter of a century older, and from a time perspective I know that repeating The Beatles’ success was totally unrealistic. However, this dream led and warmed me in difficult moments during adolescence. And somewhere deep inside, a small part of that boy in me still remains - years of adventures, small and big musical successes – and I still want to compose music, perform on stage and meet new people. And if someone in the world will enjoy my music, it will be enough satisfaction and motivation for me to work harder.

Throughout my journey, I had the opportunity to work with amazing people. For 5 years, I was a member of Roze Europy - one of the most popular Polish rock bands of the nineties. For 2 years, I performed live on stage with Irena Jarocka - the icon of Polish pop music in the seventies.

I was also musically fulfilled with the bands I created with my friends: Less Is More, Supernova, Squash and many other projects, which sometimes don’t even have a name… It is mainly these projects and those people I met, that musically shaped me into who I am today. I want to thank to everyone who has left a mark on me… and of course, The Beatles ;)
