I’ve been examining half-scraps of my childhood. They are pieces of distant life that have no form or meaning. They are things that just happened like lint.

I recently finished a large project which had been eating up all of my studio time. I'm happy to be back to a place where I can write and post new music. I started this track quite some time ago. I thought I'd dust it off and finish it to get things rolling again. I think I ended up putting more dust on it.

From our first Proof of Utah album. Released in 1984. Louie and I recorded this song on our cassette-based 4-track Teac Portastudio. We mixed it right off the Portastudio and onto the final 2-track tape for the album.

I'm primarily a guitar player but I'll try to make music with anything you throw at me. When left to my own devices I enjoy recording minimalist ambient pieces and textural soundscapes. My principal sound source for these efforts is manipulated guitar but I often include electronics and organic sources. I enjoy working on collaborations with other musicians.
