This remix came about after being shown the underground cult classic that is the 45rpm version of Dolly Parton's Jolene, when slowed down to 33 & 1/2 RPM.

As soon as I heard it I knew I wanted to have a go at remixing it all the while staying true to that slowed down version that sounds so damn good.

This is really just a sketch of an idea and will probably take on new forms as time goes on.

My entry into the triplej unearthed Play School Remix comp.

Like most of my remixes I like to stay true to the key and tempo of the choon. So 88 bpm it was, with minimal effects to the vocals, just mad chops.

Being a 90's kid I was missing the classic whistle, so had to add that in there, and just added that mad hip hop chop steez for the beat.

Overall it's one of those tracks that has lots of good ideas, however given the short amount of time spent on it I'm not totally happy with the mix, especially the bass. but whatever. Heaps of people make heaps of whack shit, this was just a bit of fun.
