to release their new holiday single, “Rocky Mountain Christmas,”
featuring the Calgary choir ensemble, REVV52. This poignant
song grapples with the complex feelings of love and loss that can
arise when returning home during the holidays, reminding us
how Christmas often compels us to confront our sadness.

With heartfelt lyrics, lush harmonies, and a cozy mountain vibe,
“Rocky Mountain Christmas” is destined to become an anthem
for those who experience loneliness during the season, missing
family and friends while reminiscing about lost loves.

The track takes listeners on an emotional journey through snowy
roads and mountain vistas to “the place where I first held your
hand,” exploring the bittersweet experience of returning home
for the holidays without a loved one. For anyone who has ever
felt alone or isolated during this time of year, the Brother Bicker
Band offers a reminder of the old cliché: it is better to have loved

Roll back the years. Listen for that throwback sound. Turn up the radio and hit the road.  That’s where the Brother Bicker Band is headed too.  Harmonies, good hooks, rootsy rock, great rhythmic energy and lyrics that remind you of a time and place that means something. 2019 and 2020 have been a busy time for the band, writing songs, playing gigs, and having a great collaboration in the recording studio. Trying to capture that rock essence that transports you backwards and forwards at the same time, but keeps you firmly planted in solid Canadian summer.

The new album, Hospitality and Northern Charm, is what happens when five friends and collaborators find a guide to take them to the next level.  5 original songs that range from a rockin' tribute to lost icons, to the essence of what makes Nashville so damn cool, to wishing away heartbreak, to trying to find that little bit of honey at the edge of a sweet life, and one cover paying tribute to a formative influence with a Brother Bicker twist come together under the veteran guidance of Producer Christian Stonehouse and a magical weekend or two at OCL studios.  Carl Raines on drums, Jim Duncan on bass rounding out a Canadian shield solid backline, Jeremy Hrdlicka on the manic energy vocals, Tom Mogan on guitar and harmonies and Ben Ellard on keys like “the Monkeys on acid” (and more harmonies), the band has been working hard to refresh the Roots genre, sweeten the whiskey rock and roll and deliver authentic original music from the heart.

Featuring Matt Dawe on drums, Jim Duncan on bass, Jeremy Hrdlicka on vocals and acoustic guitar, Tom Mogan on guitar and vocals, Ben Ellard on keys and newcomers, Jennele Coulson and Claire Wilkes on vocals, these seven friends and band mates bring a unique and refreshing take on the "roots" rock genre, best described as "maple whiskey rock n roll" - well-aged and a little bit harsh, it may burn a little at first. It has a touch of sweetness and is uniquely Canadian. And like whiskey, the more you indulge, the more fun you have and the better you feel....and if you have too much you just may forget everything.
