I know the church has a lot of offended souls strewn about the globe. More of those offenses are legitimate that I'd like. So what do we do with her? She's family. I still love her, even as I acknowledge her sins. This song is meant to express that idea.

I Love The Church

Had a refreshing time at Prayer Meeting tonight. Carlos led us through Psalm 42 as a guide and it brought back memories of a song I wrote 10+ years ago. I'd only recently reconstructed the lyrics so I thought it was a good time to see if I could re-remember the piano accompaniment and tune. When I sat down, my fingers just seemed to "know" the song again, despite past attempts going nowhere. Attached is quick, rough recording with my cell phone so that I don't lose it again. Maybe I'll get a better recording up in a month or two, but, until then, here ya go.
