Courtesy of our fellow Naarm friends @spinningaround.label , we have curated a short interview, exploring her life in and out of music.

Syrup-E is a Naarm-based DJ and producer, recognised for her high energy sets that feature pulsating basslines, hypnotic melodies and sultry vocals to create a moody atmosphere. Her music is the soundtrack to a dark fairytale forest rave where every beat invites you to dance amidst the shadows.

Classically trained in piano from a young age, syrup-E developed a deep appreciation for crafting melodies. Once exposed to the vibrant electronic music scene in Melbourne, she began her deep dive into music production and DJing. Since then, she’s served up serious heat to iconic Melbourne clubs and parties including Closer, Hex, Celestia, Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica, Xe54, XYZ, Howler, Technoir, Nexus, Glamorama, Lucky Coq, onesixone and Bloom.

Recently releasing her debut single 'can i trust u' - a moody techno inquisition carried by orchestral strings, rolling bass and stuttering vocals, @syrup___e looks to enhance her presence and thrive throughout the music scene.

After immersing herself in Melbourne's vibrant electronic music scene, she dove into music production and DJing. Since then, she's delivered serious heat to iconic Melbourne venues, including Beyond The Valley, Revolver Upstairs, New Guernica, Xe54, Sub Club, Tempo, Closer, Hex Melbourne, Celestia, Howler, Technoir, Nexus, Glamorama, Lucky Coq, onesixone, and Bloom.

syrup-E’s ideal setting to play: "If you’ve ever watched Bratz Fashion Pixiez, there’s a scene where the girls get turned into pixies and attend a secret rave deep in the forest. I literally picture myself playing in a setting like that when I put together my playlists."
As for inspiration, it’s always evolving, but lately, she's been gravitating toward music from the Trip label and BCCO, discovering a wealth of hypnotic, fast, and trippy tracks.
