Delving back into dark rhythm-drone territory here. The basic structure is 3 outboard synths cross patched with the modular, each using a separate timing pulse. The trigger for the MS-20 Mini is a square LFO that is run through a filter before feeding the MS-20's VCA input. Adding resonance to that square wave provides an amazing amount of tonal variation. An Oberheim SEM, Moog Voyager Old School, and MacBeth MK1 Modular provide the rest of the sound.

Everything is performed/sequenced live. All synths and FX are analog and CV controlled.

Details:
- A Synthetic Sound Labs 1250 Quad LFO is the main clock source. This feeds a Moon M554 Clock Divider and M569 Sequencer.
- The MS-20's VCA trigger LFO is run through an STG Post-Lawsuit Lowpass Filter. The HP and LP filters are modulated by separate external LFO's.
- The Voyager's OSC2 is synched to OSC1 and modulated by the S&H LFO for the occasional "glitch" sound. Also run through an MF-104Z analog delay.
- MacBeth MK1 modules run through Q115 Spring Reverb.
- Live mixed using 2 Alesis Multimix 8 Line mixers.
- Recorded straight into Digital Performer using a MOTU 828 MK3 audio interface. Mastered with iZotope Ozone.

Taking a very basic 808 bass/snare beat quickly into noisy rhythm drone territory. The Tiptop SD808 snare sound feeds a Moogerfooger MF-104Z delay with a MF-108M Cluster Flux wired into its external loop. Tweaking the delay time on the Cluster Flux provides a ton of sonic character and variation. Two Korg MS-20's provide a bass drone (panned hard left and right in stereo). The Andromeda provides a string pad drone with some bell-like sounds from the Taurus pedals and the Prophet. The 5U modular provides a sequence using dotcom, Moon, MacBeth, STG, and SSL modules.

- The MS-20 Mini is pitch/gate slaved to the MS-20 Kit via CV.
- Dotcom sequence is a single MK1 'A' oscillator through a heavily modulated STG Sea Devils Filter and into a MK1 'A' Lowpass Filter.

- Recorded straight into Digital Performer using a MOTU 828 MK3 audio interface. Mastered with iZotope Ozone.

I put this together just for fun.  While messing with my new Taurus bass pedals, I was inspired to create a stark and simple synth soundtrack in the style of the great John Carpenter.

Everything is sequenced/played live and is entirely analog except for the drums.  No effects except for a little MF-104Z analog delay on the SEM.

Electribe Drums, Taurus 3 bass, Prophet '08 filter sweep, Voyager Old School bass notes, Andromeda strings, and sequences on MacBeth MK1 modules and an Oberheim SEM driven by the Moon M-569 sequencer.

Once again I find myself indulging in some retro dark soundtrack work.  This time the opening credit theme for the sci-fi film I never made. A slowly evolving track that I wanted to play live and keep simple and raw.

Everything is played/sequenced live and is entirely analog except for the drums and built-in Andromeda FX.

Synth nerd details: 
- Electribe is clocking the Moon M569 sequencer through a M553 MIDI-to-Clock converter and M554 Clock Divider.  Sequencer is controlling a tomoberheim.com SEM.  Row 1 are main notes, and row 2 transposes those notes.
- Controlling the modular with a Novation Remote 25SL into a Moon M551 MIDI-to-Voltage converter.  3 MacBeth MK1 oscillators with individual glide settings into MK1 'A' Filter.
