A first taste of a song from my forthcoming album, with all time guitar hero Jan Akkerman. It was an honor to work with such a gifted talent, who wrote musical history long before I walked the planet! (This snippet is an unmastered version) I will perform this song at the Amsterdam Paradiso show on Friday May 6th 2011.

Gone too long

Brown Hill (formerly Lil' Brown), burst on the scene in the late 90s with a track on the infamous No Sweat Compilation. He's since then been on an intense journey of international open mic nights (travelling from Amsterdam to New York for gigs at The Sputnik and The Sugarbar); vocal studies at the Amsterdam Conservatorium and collaborations with the likes of DJ Black and Lisa Simone (daughter of icon Nina Simone); European tours with Sandra St. Victor and Nona Hendryx; winning the public’s vote at the ‘Grolsch Grote Prijs Van Nederland’; the introduction of a delicious first self titled album (which includes a contribution from none other than the late Billy
Preston); performing on numerous European Jazz Festivals; being invited to perform on National Television (ie: VARA's DWDD) and showcase his talent with the uplifting track ‘Ghetto Queen’; to appearing on National Radio to perform for the 'Radio 6 Zwarte Lijst Events'.
Brown Hill is currently working on his new album.
