During the summer of 1994, Bruce Atchison composed this track for his Mind Polish cassette at his home studio in Edmonton, Alberta. Based on a slowed down tape of a recorder, Atchison filled out the piece with his Yamaha CX 5M music computer, Roland Juno 60, and Realistic MG-1 synthesizers.

"Martian Archeology"

A cassette tape of a police officer fooling around inspired this track by Bruce Atchison. He used his Concertmate 380, and Concertmate 500 to fill in the background. It appeared on his 2002 SHUTUP&TALK2ME CD-R album and was recorded at his Radway Alberta home studio. Harry the rabbit supervised the recording sessions.

"The Hog Loading"

In the summer of 1987, Bruce Atchison composed this track and named it after a phrase in The Bible' book of Proverbs. Using only his Realistic MG-1 synthesizer and Concertmate 500, he created the sonic texture which makes this track sound unique.

"Line Upon Line"

Being an avid shortwave aficionado, Bruce Atchison felt inspired to create a tune around his favourite Radio Havana Cuba program. Using his synthesizers and keyboards, he filled in the background on this track which appeared on his 2002 SHUTUP&TALK2ME CD-R album. The tune was recorded in Atchison's Radway, Alberta home studio.


"DXers Unlimited"

Based on commentary from NASA regarding the shuttle Columbia, Bruce Atchison composed this track in the summer of 2002 for his SHUTUP&TALK2ME CD-R album. He used a variety of electronic keyboards and synthesizers for this piece Which he recorded in his home studio in Radway, Alberta.

"Columbia"

As part of his 1992 Cosmic Rendez-vous cassette album, Bruce Atchison recorded this spacy track using his Roland Juno 60 and Realistic MG-1 synthesizers. The track was recorded in Atchison's Edmonton, Alberta home studio.

"Moon Base 8805"

Back in 1987, Bruce Atchison used his Concertmate 200, Realistic MG-1, Concertmate 500, and electronic reverb to create this mournful, ambient tune for his We Had Ten Planets cassette album. It later appeared on one of his Fossils CD-R releases in 1999. Atchison recorded this in Edmonton, Alberta at his home studio.

"End of a Good Thing"

At Bruce Atchison's home studio in Edmonton, Alberta, he recorded himself typing and doing other things. Then he used his Concertmate 500 Keyboard and Realistic MG-1 synthesizer to build the melody and background. This track appeared on his 1988 Furnace Fan cassette album and as part of his Fossils CD-R series in 1999. 

"Midnight Oil"

In the autumn of 1991, Bruce Atchison recorded this track for his Space Explorer cassette album. Using his Yamaha CX5M music computer, Realistic MG-1, and Concertmate 500 keyboards, he created this futuristic-sounding track at his home studio in Edmonton, Alberta.

"Sleeping in Space"

Using a text-to-speech program, Bruce Atchison converted a free-verse poem into the basis for this track from his 2003 CD-R album called Darkness Path. Using analogue synthesizers, effects pedals, and Windows Sound Recorder, Atchison created this bleak ambient tune which was inspired by a lucid dream he 

"Footprints in Time"

As part of his homage to northern Canadian airports, Bruce Atchison recorded this track at his Edmonton, Alberta home studio using his Yahama CX5M music computer and Concertmate 500 Keyboard. The track appeared on his Seventeen Sites cassette album which was released in the spring of 1989.

"Springbank"

This spacey track was recorded at Bruce Atchison's home studio in Edmonton, Alberta during the spring of 1993. Using his Roland Juno 60 and Realistic MG-1 synthesizers, he created a piece evoking the absolute emptiness and chill of intergalactic space. This track appeared on his Mind Polish cassette.

"Voids Between Galaxies"

This spacey track is Bruce Atchison's tribute to one of his favourite synthesists He recorded it in the summer of 2002 for his SHUTUP&TALK2ME CD-R. Atchison used his Roland Juno 60 and Realistic MG-1 synthesizers as well as a reverb pedal to create the cosmic mood of the piece.

"Ghost Shuttle"

Seventeen Sites was originally released on cassette in 1989. Bruce Atchison composed these tracks in honour of seventeen airports in Alberta, Yukon, and Northwest Territories. Hay River was issued as a cassette single in July and it soared to number 1 on CJSR's hit parade.

While surfing the shortwave bands, I came across this strange signal. After a few minutes, it morphed into the sign on of WIMB. I tuned this in using my CCrane Skywave SSB portable with about 15 feet of random wire strung around my kitchen.
