By the junction sign at the edge of town
Stands a lonesome hideaway
It's been out there since God only knows
And it's seen some better days

Weeds are spilling through the asphalt drive
And all the blinds are turned up tight
The paint has cracked and it's peeling away

It ain't that sort of "Welcome Friend, and please enjoy your stay!"
People come and go quiet, and when they leave

They run to escape
