Escape from rabbit hole

I had these two little blues pieces – in E and C – and an arrangement for When I’m 64, and they seemed to fit, and voila! The whole piece runs for 100 bars, but subtracting the repeated two blues sections the piece adds up to 64 bars. I swear this was an accident!

Sixty-four Bar Blues

One of those back burner incomplete songs that I started writing back in 2018 timeframe. Pulled it out awhile back and things started to flow, crazy how that happens. Made some changes with the melody, and added a few new lyrics, which were inspired from events of this past year. Trials make us stronger. Stronger (Orginal Song Live)

This song is a title track of my 20th single PLAY LOUDER. The genres are Alternative rock / Lo-Fi / J-ROCK. The moods are Happy / Motivational / Upbeat. The style is Experimental. The category is Happy & Upbeat. I wrote and recorded this alone in my room with a guitar, a synth, a mic and a PC in 2017. Bass by synth. This song was created when I was performing live alone in Nagoya and I decided to release this now to recapture the hungry spirit I had then. Cover art and MV by myself. This features Japanese lyrics, reggae-inspired vocals, Lo-fi and experimental sound design. The composition, the arrangement and the production were heavily influenced by Beck especially ODELAY. My new song "This Night" is now live on SoundCloud! 🌃

This track is deeply inspired by the sounds of the 80s, a decade of music that has always moved me. I tried to capture that feeling with heartfelt saxophone lines and drums that you can really feel. 🎷 My hope is that it brings you a sense of nostalgia and energy.

Renowned chef John-Marc Ventimiglia has created a unique five spice blend. 
Five Spice creates a sense impression of this spice blend in music. The spices as introduced in the music are: rosemary (cello), fennel (viola), basil (oboe), tarragon (alto flute/trumpet)and lavender (flute). The guitar and percussion are the squeeze of lemon and additional flavors that unlock this spice blend.

Five Spice Recipe:  1/2 tsp lavender, 3 tsp basil, 3 tsp tarragon, 1/2 tsp ground fennel seed and 1 tsp rosemary.  All the spices should be dried and ground if needed for a consistent blend.  Great on shrimp, seafood and chicken. Salt  and coat liberally with the mix before cooking.  Finish with black pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Bruce Klepper is a Colorado based composer. Klepper writes music in a number of different styles, including contemporary classical music, jazz, soundscapes using field recordings, ambient music, and ballet music.  Klepper has been composing music for Danse Etoile Ballet (www.danseetoile.org) since 2016. Klepper has been collaborating with Parlando School of Musical Arts (www.parlando.org) faculty Britta De Groot and Sergei Govorov, composing and arranging new music for the dynamic piano and saxophone duo to premier around the United States. Klepper's music premiered in Carnegie Hall, September 2022.  Klepper's music can be heard on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and SoundCloud. 

Klepper studied music composition in the 1970's and received a degree in music composition and theory.  After writing music for many years and starting a tech company based in Colorado, Klepper retired in 2014 from business so he could devote myself to his true passion, composing music.
