The Sunlight Cantata

This is an ambient mix of a heavy evening rainstorm in Nairobi Kenya (sorry, no thunder). The rain was recorded in Karen, near the home featured in the film Out of Africa. It has been modified to enhance the stereo image and shape other audio parameters. If you listen carefully you will hear a few surprises. This track can be seamlessly repeated in iTunes to provide you with hours of rain sounds - great for sleep or other uses.

Nairobi Rain 2

I visited a Maasai village in Kenya and recorded some of their music. I obtained permission from the chief to use samples of the recordings in this collaboration with the talented artist, Panda. The lyrics refer to how global warming is melting the snow on Mount Kilimanjaro.

A mix of recorded rain (Nairobi, Kenya) and the ocean (Pismo Beach). The tracks were mixed together to achieve maximum sonic wetness. You can put this track on repeat to achieve a seamless aural experience of being drenched. This is a great track for studies, working or sleeping. It also helps to mask distracting sounds.
