great opening verse. sad/funny/true..."better days will come" has been a constant forever thought in any age at any time in any country ..funny how it doesn't seem to happen..I think we need a better job of learning from history(true history not self serving distorted facts) but that seems to be a pipe dream too.  the vocals and melody really fit this great lyric message
