My friends all like to do reefer
They think it’s lots of fun.
They laugh and joke with every toke.
They ain’t hurtin’ anyone.

But when they pass a joint to me,
I have to wave it away. 
I feel bad because I'm kinda harshin’ their buzz,

It makes me stupid as a stump.
Horny as a hound.
Woozy as a worm that’s a-wigglin’ on the ground.  
Giggly as a girl gettin' tickled up and down.

Now I know it’s getting legal
In a growing number of states.
Across the nation there’s a population 
Who think it’s really great.

But when it comes to can-na-bis
I have to say, “I can-not.”
'Cause when I do weed I’m guaranteed
To get dimmer than a 15-watt.

I went outside, walked down the street.
And everyone was staring at me.
Cars hit the brakes for to see me baked.
So I hid behind a tree. 

Then a psychedelic squirrel came up to me.
And he looked me in the eye. 
He shook his little head, and then he said,
"Dude, you are really high."

So I ran back to my house again.
And I didn’t know what to do,
I went to the kitchen 'cause my belly was itchin’
For some junky no-good food.

I decided to cook three hot dogs
And I smothered them with Nutella.
My Mom, she caught me in the act.
She said, “What’s going on there, fella.”

The kitchen was a mess, my Mom was mad.
So I just went to sleep.
That’s the last time I smoked pot my friends.
'Cause of what it does to me.

Out on the porch, pickin' & grinnin' & drinking beer, waiting for the fiddle player and the mandolin guy. Neither one showed, so we did the best we could with the guitars. My daughter Julia helped out on the vocal harmonies.

This little ditty is my attempt to musically chronicle the 43 years my wife & I have been together.

So i decided to try invent a new style of Music, Bluehop a mixture of Blues, Country and Hip hop...a hip hop drum beat, Country style guitar licks and all based on a blues type chord structure....would love to get your Opinions....does it work ????
