"Duckgrease Burning at The Crabhouse" is a party song.  A metaphor for 'there's a good time going on somewhere and you should be there!'.  Inspired by a moment I was preparing Duck Confit.  It tasted so good, I started dancing in the kitchen doing some kind of self-inspired dance step that made me think of a time I experienced partying in a backwoods club down in the south.

Don’t-Think-You-Know (by Rules of Aquah feat. Bruce Mack)

A song that protests against the blatant hatred, racism, and brutality directed at Black People that often results in the death of Black People.
The bigger issue that warrants this protest is the fact that the leadership of America is not even speaking out against it, which makes it seem like an "open season" on Black folk has been sanctioned.
Well, whether it is or not, Black folk are tired of trusting that there will be a change.  It is time to defend ourselves , police the police and monitor anyone or other group who thinks they can handle us any way they see fit.  Tired. Of. This. Shit.

Award winning Music Conceptualist/Vocalist & Composer Bruce Mack  the artist/band is a multi-genre vocalist, composer & instrumentalist who performs and fuses various styles of music with funk & space in mind, generating a sound he calls “alternative rhythm & blues”. 

A veteran of the New York music scene,  Mack shares his talents with several ensembles including Divine Pocket Bouncers, Eighty-Pound Pug, Nubian Messengers and Rules Of Aquah.
Since 1999, Mack has been a recording, touring and conducting member of Greg Tate’s Burnt Sugar the Arkestra Chamber (BSAC), contributing as a keyboardist, composer & vocalist often in collaboration with Vernon Reid, Jared Nickerson, Vernon Jeffery Smith and numerous others.
As a result of work w/BSAC, Mack had the honor of being vocal arranger for the legendary actor/filmmaker/composer-Melvin Van Peebles’ wid/Laxative band for several years.  Also toured with MVP in U.S. & France to perform the stage version of ’Sweet Sweetback’s Baddass Song”.
Other cutting edge greats Mack has performed with include Butch Morris, None Hendryx, Wunmi, James Blood Ulmer, Somi, 
DJ Logic, and Brandee Younger.

Since 2014, B-Mack has released 2 albums “Lo-Fi Exploits of a Misplant On Shaolin” (2018) and “Bruce Mack w/Nubian Messengers, Live at Pianos, NYC” (2019) as well as several moody-jazz-influenced lo-fi singles not typical of what BMack is known for aside from his improvised vocals on “Double O Nobody”, “Karma Can Be Long”, “I Do Udo On Monday”, “Sister Space Shifter” and “Don’t Think You Know” representing “a period of intimate self expression”.  The songs  “Ugly Head” and “Throw My Hands Up!” are closer to the sound and ideas Mack is known for as in his earlier bands PBR Streetgang & Rebels Be Phuncky (1980’s-late 90’s).   Bruce Mack writes and produces with a social conscious mind, yet never dismissing one’s need to dance which always prompts a party song with an infectious groove somewhere in his compilation of music.

Having started out as a singer with a desire to write for himself and others in a do-wop style vocal group, his creative drive hasn’t waivered.  Mack has composed & arranged for BSAC, been featured as percussionist in the alternative band Johnny Mez & The Fatman on the 2015 album “Inner City Hero”, that same year as vocalist/co-writer of 
“When The Flowers Bloom In Baltimore” an album by experimental-metal-band Eighty-Pound Pug (Alex Lozupone Project). 
Then featured again In 2016 along with Alex Lozupone & Ayumi Ishito  on the album “As Serious As A Pug-Attack”.

Bruce Mack is currently recording new music for B-Mack, alter-ego Blackfoot Ayeshi, PBR Streetgang, MsLarayne and
preparing the independent release of 3 singles in early 2024.
