PTITZYN - Love Hoolligan

Piece for acoustic guitar trio, Part 1 - Introduction & Allegro assai

花(Ka) is a flower. 鳥(Cho) is a bird. 風(Fu) is wind. 月(Getsu) is the moon.
Literal translation "Flower, Bird, Wind, Moon"

This Japanese proverb is showing the sense and spirit of Japanese people. They feel beauty most in these four elements and have made many paintings and poems to this theme. That is why these four elements are considered as the beauty of nature. "Experience the beauty of nature and in doing so learn about one's self."

I wrote this like a tone poem in several sections, trying to evoke different sensations of movement and beauty, inspired partly on melancholic Japanese style infused music, by the likes of Ryuichi Sakamoto, also David Sylvian's music "When Poets Dreamed of Angels" Secrets of the Beehive, and the composition by the Assad brothers called "Natsu No Niwa Suite”, to name a few. Also this is a salute to the greatest guitar trio to date: Paco, Al and John. Long live Passion, Grace and Fire!

I hope you will enjoy this new composition of mine and as you know I always enjoy your comments, likes and shares!
