Our second guest is DJ and producer Canelo, a rising talent in the underground music scene of Trujillo, Peru. As a resident DJ for WhyNot? Promote and with releases on respected labels such as NO PRESET (2023) and FINNEST (2024–2025), Canelo is making a strong mark on the local scene.

In 2023, he founded GroundSounds, a music studio that has quickly become a creative hub for emerging national talent in Peru.

Active since 2020, Canelo’s dedication and passion have earned him opportunities to share the stage with internationally renowned artists including WAFF, Dimmish, Detlef, Franky Rizardo, and many more.

Canelo was born in Trujillo, Peru. From a young age, he showed a strong passion for music, learning to play the guitar during his childhood. After playing in several bands and launching a solo project under his real name, Bruno Lazaro, in 2018, he eventually discovered electronic music — a turning point that led him to start producing and performing live.

Since then, Canelo has released music on labels such as NO PRESET (2023) and FINNEST (2024–2025). In 2023, he founded GroundSounds, a music studio that has quickly become a creative hub for national talent in Peru.

He has been a resident DJ for WhyNot Promote since 2020 and has shared the stage with internationally renowned artists such as WAFF, Dimmish, Detlef, Franky Rizardo, and many more.
