The woods at dusk, slowly revealing their mysterious, magical powers. A world awakens, ever present but never quite seen, where the silence between the sounds is as important as what you hear, and where thoughts both drift and come into focus.
A peaceful time, perfect for contemplation and introspection.

Released on cassette tape on the Peak label; track titles and artwork draw inspiration from the 1967 Patterson–Gimlin film and surrounding events.

Forest Dweller - A Relic Of No Demonstrable Presence

Michrochimères is the second collaborative album between Julien Demoulin and Frédéric Dufourd, following Entre Chien et Loup (2022, Rusted Tone Recordings).
It is the result of crossed wanderings, each piece born from a process of successive mutations, where sounds contaminate each other and recombine. Playful and spontaneous, serious and dreamy, welcoming and intimate. It is ambient music which fosters closeness; which is warm, embodied... human. Slowly morphing synth pads cradle everyday sounds, homemade instruments, and spontaneous contributions from family members, friends and talented neighbors. Silences, imperfections, accidents and misunderstandings are readily embraced and organically integrated as composition material.
Throughout, these pieces offer shelter against the increasing dehumanization and disintegration of the world. They invite contemplation and reconnection with nature, as well as the most essential of emotions.

Musicien, compositeur, il vit et travaille aujourd'hui à Paris.
 
Il compose essentiellement pour l'image, travaillant sur des films documentaires, d’animation, expérimentaux, ou encore des courts métrages.
Mais aussi pour des créations théâtrales, des performances, des installations sonores, des concerts, des disques, ne délaissant jamais la pratique "live" de la musique, que ce soit en solo ou accompagné.
Son travail se concentre sur une forme d'émotion introspective, faite d'épure et de minimalisme, souvent inspirée par l'attente, le souvenir, le vide et l'absence.
