Recording of my all night set @Modular Cape Town, 29/07/23. Starting from zero bpm with some ambient and dub textures, and gradually progressing up into the upper 130s in the later hours.  Thanks to everyone who joined me on the night in the booth, stopping by for some, or all of the time. This turned into a very special night and helped me reconnect to all that music and djing is for me.

Above all it's about memories, dancing with friends in the sunset and celebrating life in togetherness, a warm-hearted feeling of a festival closing set. Kindreds electronic mind was born in the heavy bassline thunderstorms with which the English Dubstep movement shook the underground in the 2000er years. Moving to Berlin in 2012, the local Techno vibe influenced him with its irresistible flow decisively. Still, he never lost his favor for heavy, moving bassline, dark atmospheres and the love for a surprising psychedelic twist. Founding his own collective with friends, making own parties and music, moving the underground, the Berlin electronic scene became his home. In countless gigs from all over Berlin, to all parts of Germany, from Holland down to the marvellous island of Sardinia this guy hypnotised ravers of all kinds, sucking them into the inescapable vortex of energetic Techno and introducing them to a new, unknown dimension. In the end of 2020 his own Hypnotic Techno label "Charybdis" came to life, which he is curating together with his good friend and musical partner Vittjas Tief.

For the first one, we wanted to invite someone really special. Someone sepcializing in minimal and tech house sounds, as we are approaching our biggest tech house party of a year. And we couldn't think of anyone better than our favourite ro-minimal DJ, who'll also be playing at the party - Deaf Can Dance.

Filip Janicki embarked on his DJing journey nearly two decades ago, in 2005. Despite the challenge of hearing impairment and the necessity of wearing hearing aids, he immersed himself in the world of sounds from a very young age, interpreting them uniquely. Turning his limitation into an asset, he utilized his exceptional imagination and sensitivity to interpret sounds through other senses.

As Deaf Can Dance, he meticulously filters the diversity of electronic music, crafting surprising, sensual, and dance-worthy sounds, irrespective of the tempo. His eclectic sets, infused with energy and a mystical atmosphere, captivate the audience like a hypnotic spell. Regardless of the venue, Deaf Can Dance is a true dance floor magician, enchanting everyone with captivating, dance-inducing sounds.

His ability to "read" the crowd, coupled with refined selection and masterful craftsmanship, allows Deaf Can Dance to shine in any circumstance. It's noteworthy that he not only precisely caters to the audience's preferences but also knows how to pleasantly surprise and captivate his audience.
