wow, it's a fascinating eclectic philosophy, a stunning beginning behind the stratospheric flight after launch, combines sound and visual elements to form a clear imagination in the mind! Apparently somewhere in the Milky Way, amongst three hundred billion stars separated by plumes of asteroid boundaries, induces altered states in the listener immersed in a sphere 124 light years from earth!

Quality set as always Bruno. I've been listening to your work for over 13 years, and every time a new set drops, I still get just as excited. Thank you for consistently delivering!

Artist: Pedro Capelossi [Refraction Rec / Seven Villas / OHM Series]

For our 9th mix of The Frontier series we welcome Brazilian born, Barcelona based, Refraction Records commander in chief - Pedro Capelossi.

Over the last decade Pedro has forged a distinctive sound which focuses on inventive use of atmosphere and rhythm, drawing the lines between global dance cultures without adhering to any fixed formula.  

Pedro is best known for his releases on Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas label. This distinctive label is one which cant be tied down to one particular sound, but tends to float between all things Dub House / Dub Techno / Deep House.

  In 2023 he founded his own musical imprint REFRACTION RECORDS, representing some of the world’s most avant-garde visual artists, designers and musicians. Blurring the boundaries between house, techno and its closely related derivatives.

  For this Frontier mix Pedro has presented a beautifully compiled selection with his signature sound, deep, dubby, atmospheric and emotive throughout. It features a lot of music from Refraction records, with a lot of unreleased forthcoming music. Its a joy to listen to and one we'll be going back to again and again.

TM Shuffle is more than just a name in the international dub techno scene. The Finnish producer, DJ, and head of VUO Records has a rare talent for distilling the essence of depth, space, and rhythm into his productions. His music is infused with a hypnotic pulse that doesn’t shout loudly but tells stories subtly – of snow-covered landscapes, quiet nights, and an unwavering love for electronic music. What sets TM Shuffle apart is his uncompromising dedication to reduction. His musical philosophy is not about quantity but quality: less is more. By deliberately limiting himself, he becomes more creative – digging deep, searching intentionally for the right sound, and developing a distinct musical signature. This principle is evident not only in his productions but also in his thoughtfully crafted, driving DJ sets.

He shares this passion off stage as well: as the label head of VUO Records, he provides a platform for other artists who share his vision of dub techno – raw, organic, and timeless.

In a personal conversation with Andre Kronert, TM Shuffle offers insight into his creative workflow and studio philosophy. In a world of unlimited possibilities, he consciously relies on a minimalist setup: turntables, a mixer, a few select synthesizers, drum machines, and a computer for sequencing. The internet gave us wild ways to connect, but it still can’t beat the real thing - meeting people in real life. A few months ago, we found ourselves in our beloved Barn deep in the Catskills, surrounded by trees, friends, and a four-day blur of heavy tunes and strange magic. That’s where we met Verena, aka Ena B. We connected through mutual friends and a shared pull toward deeper, dubbier, stranger sounds, and just like that, a new link was made.

Her “Delayed with…” mix is a slow-burner in the best way. It moves with intention, breaky, heady, and atmospheric, full of space and subtle pressure. There’s a patience to her selections, a confidence in the flow. Ena B may be new to the fold, but she speaks the language fluently. Expect more transmissions soon.

I am very happy to be able to present another exellent guest mix on my Channel. This time it is a DJ called Harknee, located in London who I invited to contribute after I discovered him recently. 
And this mix fullfilled my expectations 100%. It has this yearning and mourning inside what I've found already in other mixes from him. On the other hand he has a very dry and subtile humour. A markable mixture in my view.

Here're some personal words from him about this mix he was sending: "When I make mixes, I like to picture where they might be listened to. For this one, the idea was to keep things laidback yet light — ideal for summery afternoons spent relaxing at home or out in nature. I imagined myself chilling in the garden, the sun beating down while the wind crackles the leaves in the trees. Wherever you're listening from, I hope you can find a quiet spot in nature and unwind with this mix."

Harknee is a DJ and producer exploring the intersection between techno music and the natural world.

This exploration sees him take elements of nature, from quiet birdsong to large landscapes, and incorporate them into his work, generating a contrast between repetitive rhythms and the unpredictability of the living world. His creations look to evoke the essence of the earth to create sonic landscapes, placing the listener in the midst of flora and fauna.

He runs a mix series called Biophilia, where he showcases this exploration of techno music and nature and encourages listeners to seek out the beauty of the natural world. Find it here @harknee
