Bruno is an Argentinian classically trained musician, producer, and composer based in Barcelona who writes for strings, piano, and electronics.  In 1998 he started as a producer for ad21, a personal platform and label. His Piano Textures series, started in 2007, is one of Sanfilippo’s most representative set of recordings, but he has also gained wider recognition in modern music – one of his piano compositions formed the basis for Canadian rapper Drake’s seminal hit, ‘Started From The Bottom’.

To celebrate the third anniversary of Justina Jaruševičiūtė’s critically acclaimed debut album, Silhouettes, we are releasing a remastered edition, which includes two exclusive new tracks: Ben Chatwin’s Haunted Mix of Prayer and an orchestral version of Distant Star, performed by Lithuania’s Klaipėda Chamber Orchestra. Back in September 2019, Justina Jaruševičiūtė attended an Echo Collective show at Funkhaus Berlin, where Jóhann Jóhannsson’s album 12 conversations with Thilo Heinzmann was being premiered. This concert, which she described as one of the most touching performances she had ever attended, was what inspired her to write music for string quartet. Recorded between June and November of 2020 at the amazingly sounding Christuskirche Oberschöneweide in Berlin, Silhouettes is a soul-stirring project and an evident demonstration of Jaruševičiūtė’s remarkable compositional skills. The pieces that shape this record are often tenebrous and pensive, contrasted by a few moments in which light seems to shine through, allowing the violins, viola and violoncello to embrace us with hope and comfort.

Bruno is a classically trained pianist, producer, and composer based in Barcelona who writes for strings, piano, and electronics. 
His first recordings were released in 1991, and in 1998 he started as a producer for ad21, a personal platform and label that has released the majority of his albums (2016’s The Poet was released by 1631 Recordings and Decca Publishing, while Unity came out on Russian label Dronarivm, in 2018). He has also collaborated on several projects with the labels 7K! Moderna Records, and Thesis. 

His Piano Textures series, started in 2007, is one of Sanfilippo’s most representative set of recordings, but he has also gained wider recognition in modern music –  one of his piano compositions formed the basis for Canadian rapper Drake’s seminal hit, ‘Started From The Bottom’.

In addition to recordings available on streaming platforms, Sanfilippo has a series of solo and collaborative albums that are available exclusively through Bandcamp, some of which were released by American labels between 2008 and 2012. 
Sanfilippo regularly performs at various live and multimedia events, and at festivals all over the world.
