BRUTALISM presents // CKOLE 020 

US based CKOLE began his journey spinning multiple genres at underground parties all the way back in the 90's. After a brief hiatus, CKOLE came back playing for the local scene in North Carolina and eventually started throwing his own events in North Carolina called Techno Syndicate. CKOLE has released productions on labels such as SMR Underground, TOXIC Records, DSRTD Records, and many more. He has also been featured on many podcasts including MASS, The Apparition Show (Oyhopper), ART. 1.43, Distortion Podcast and Shifted Radio. CKOLE has run a successful podcast of his own called Society The Dream Killer that features the latest releases of many underground labels with emphasis on hard techno, industrial and hardcore. 

He draws influences and inspirations from the likes of ABSTMND, Kill Your Idols and Vendex, as well as heavy metal and punk bands. CKOLE's plans for the future is to release more music and to become a live visual artist too. He also has plans to start up his own record label. We wish CKOLE all the best on his endeavours as he is this week's guest providing a very industrial and crunchy mix, which best encapsulates his sound - enjoy!

Bio:Dan Breeze aka KILL YOUR IDOLS is a hard and industrial techno producer and DJ from the UK. Dan has released music on multiple top labels and remixed for Artists such as Rebekah, Karl Schwarz and collaborated with multiple hard techno artists such as Vendex. KILL YOUR IDOLS has been supported globally by the likes of Paula Temple, Dyen, Wallis and Aida Arko. Djonah Laforge has been a part of the belgian Techno scene for a very long time, but somehow always stayed under the radar. Recently, his productions took a turn to the darker, industrial side, and that's when our paths crossed. So, after his teaser on the 14th compilation, here's the first of what hopefully will be many EPs. 

Opening track 'Carnivor' is best described as bone dry, filthy, distorted Techno. Due to the buildup, it's ideal to start a set, at least if you want to deliver a message that you don't plan on taking any hostages. Brutal, flesh eating hunter mayhem. 
Aptly called 'Deeper', the second track takes things... well... deeper. Embedded in a huge layer of distortion and white noise, this postpunk acid industrial track shoots of in all directions really. Disturbing stuff to put it mildly. 
If you thought 'My Way' was a Frank Sinatra rework, guess again. A voice sample and a bare and dark skeleton of a track, with nothing but nasty beats that rip your heart out of your chest, not giving you the slightest hope of survival. Djonah definitely makes his intentions crystal clear with this track. 
The gran finale is more of that: Filth. Dirt. Distortion. Noise. Industrial amounts of it. Pour it on me. 

What can I say. March looks dark and Djonah Laforge just provided the soundtrack to the apocalyps that will get us all. Join us.
