M.F.S: Observatory aka Mattia Turchetti is a name you might be familiar with due to the prolific output in recent years on a host of integral labels such as Techno Rebels Only, My Techno Weighs A Ton, Hydrozoa, and Dense & Pika’s enormous, Kneaded Pains, a label of which Mattia will return to in the months to come. Whilst pouring out an established and polished sound on these heavy hitting imprints Mattia continues to grow the Observatory Music label, varying between productions from himself and fellow producers he follows closely.
Moving forward Mattia has turned a new corner in his career, after years of development honing his essential and original sound he explores new territory, leaning towards the darker techno end of the spectrum, maintaining the same animated energy he is already known for. His prominent atmospheres are carefully crafted in the studio, and this reflects into his storytelling DJ sets which flicker between different moods that the talented Italian has collected over the years in his home country and his current home of, London. The natural knack in the booth has seen Mattia take his sound to several hotspots including Barcelona, Helsinki, London and Italy.
A prime example of raw technique combined with passion is what we have here, a never ending story of evolution with his sound constantly changing, finding new leases of life, and pockets of creativity from different aspects of his path so far. M.F.S: Observatory may be receiving a curious and gritty new chapter of his journey, but the key elements and beliefs stay the same, and long may that continue.

In our 83th series, we present Kamen, a French artist based in Nantes. Co-founder of OSS records, GRS Techno and Kinetic Collective, he is also known for his role in the Crime Partners duo. Crafting hypnotic and groovy techno with ambient and industrial touches, Kamen has left his mark on labels such as Skryptom Records, PRTL WRX and Inphase. We highligh the track "La Bêtise" released on Skryptöm Records and "Locomotive" released at Inphase Brand.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Avraxas, a DJ/producer from Santiago, Chile, who currently resides in Barcelona. 

He is characterized by trying to create harmony between technology, organic sounds, and
mind loops through immersive, hypnotic, and ethereal sounds, seeking to express his concepts through techno.

He has released music on several international labels such as Inherente Records,
Xelima Records, Freres Recordings, Subhills, and Rawness, receiving very positive feedback from artists such as Takaaki Itoh, Vincent Neumann, Oscar Escapa, Antonio de Angelis, among others.

"This mix is the result of my search for a unique sound, investigating different tracks of techno and the all time references to express my concept of it. I wanted to make it hypnotic and driving wanting to replicate the sound of a machinery who could have multiple forms."

EVK is gradually making her mark on the Parisian techno scene with her captivating sets. Heavily influenced by 90s techno, she explores a mental and percussive style where different textures blend together harmoniously, sometimes unexpectedly. Her passion for dance, particularly her practice of hip-hop for over ten years, has helped her develop a strong sense of rhythm and a deep love for groove, which infuses each of her performances. As a true music digger, she enjoys highlighting emerging artists and enriching her mixes with new discoveries. Her sets are crafted like progressive journeys, shifting between minimal, hypnotic, and tribal sounds, weaving contrasting tales rich in sensuality. EVK is a resident DJ of the Parisian collective Furia.
