The 1st track off an old reel to reel of my mother who died when I was 3 months old. First time I heard her voice at 48. A angel who has awakened my soul and reminded me of a great loss.

As I have now noticed I have down loaded all these out of order which represents my 'out of sorts' mentality since hearing my mother for the very 1st time in my life. I'm just now noticing the actual songs. One of the most profound things that has ever happened to me. Words can't express the love...the loss...the grief and now the gratitude to hear her every breath. Priceless.

This soundcloud page was initially made for my mother who I lost when I was 3 months old. I found an old reel to reel tape I had for over 48 years. I had written this song "Piece of You" before I knew anything about what was on that tape. This song I wrote late one night when I thought the TV was still on. I thought it was coming out of the TV but apparently I was still in 'writing mode' and or totally out of my mind, I broke down during the vocal tracks. It took me about an hour to get it with out balling. I had longed for my mother all my life. Recorded this song and a few months later it came TRUE--that reel to reel tape is now on soundcloud. All 8 tracks of my mother singing (maybe even to me--I was one month old) It was a miracle and changed my life. I never intended to record it either. Glad I did now. The healing has begun.

My mother Carol died when I was a baby and this was an old reel to reel tape that was discovered in my family. The 1st time I heard her voice since I was 3 months old.  I am compelled to share this because on a very deep level this has touched my soul. Whatever anyone might think-- I think on a very deep level (even as a baby) I 'remember' this because the grief I am now experiencing is beyond words. Music that transcended straight to my soul. My "mom' singing to me. When I 1st heard her voice 2 weeks ago and now I tremble at my core..I hyper ventilate. I feel the horror of the loss at that time. Real life straight up. This knocks me to my knees with grief, love, and GRATITUDE. My mom in some way has come back to me and now lives on a cloud and in me.
