Reconciling with painful events and emotions is one the most challenging aspects of the human condition. As individuals, we all experience moments in life that are not ideal in which cause us great suffering. When we do not get what we want, when we experience loss, or when expectations are not met we get let down. When we get let down it is easy for us to attach our minds to that loss and in turn suffer greatly.
When we breathe deep and learn to let go of these events that lead to suffering, we are able to begin healing and move on. This song is a mantra regarding the process accepting loss, feeling the pain instead of running from it, and ultimately letting go in order to grow in strength. 
I use metaphors that relate to some of my favorite activities that helped me throughout the years of suffering. Mountain biking on single track and pack rafting white water are methods of realease for me, so I incorporated them into the chorus of the song.

Reconciliation

My seasonal lifestyle requires that I move alot... Every 5-6 months for the last ten years to be precise. With all this travelling and moving, it is easy to get a sense of non belonging and a feeling of endless drifting. Yet despite the impermanence of my relationships and communities, it is all that I know. This song reflects the emotions of moving. Counting down the miles with every last breathe I take until someday, I can plant seeds in fertile ground.

This song was written during the winter of 2017 following a difficult move between Alaska and Arizona where I left behind the genuine love from a wonderful woman. I had to go my own way due to my then established life in Sedona, Az. It wasnt until I was let down by another woman that I believed would be the one, that I realized my greed, selfishness, and temporary lifestyle was eating me alive and destroying any potential of settling into a well founded life.
Time will tell.

Victory: 2017 version

The path to a beautifully happy and truly peaceful life is found by living the righteous way. The journey to seek enlightenment or spiritual awakening is an effort to be glory bound. Glory is a term that I use when expressing happiness, love, and inner peace that comes with a greater understanding of the world surrounding. In many societies and religions, the main focus is living in a manner that eliminates the sufferings caused by living a life of turmoil caused by the forces of cravings and attachment. Without direction or faith in a more peaceful and loving individual life, how can expect to change the darkness in our world. Manifest Destiny is an expression of moving forward with the Right way of life. In Buddhism, its known as the Noble Eightfold Path, and in Christianity, it's the words of Jesus, to name a couple. Peace is there and its available to all who ask.

This song was written in December 2016 after moving to Sedona, AZ from Yellowstone. I am a trails worker for the federal government by trade, so I move every six months. My original plan after the season of trail work on the North District Trail Crew in Yellowstone was to move to New Zealand. I had the Visa and a one way plane ticket ready to go. However, my path lead me to a new place instead. Sedona. I moved there in late November, I was almost killed in a snow storm on the freeway just south of Dillon, MT, but besides that point, I was in a dark confused place in life, and I was expecting the Arizona sunshine to heal my ailments. Well Just so happens that Northern AZ winters are not gentle. SO I wrote this song, the rest of the story is in the lyrics..

Wildrness Redemption

I wrote this song about a woman that I shared 2 years with while I live in Montana. We shared a little cabin together in the Bitterroot mountains during the winter of 2015-16. We had many amazing moments together in the mountains, for we were avid adventure partners. Our bond was through wilderness. We met during the summer trails season of 2014 being that we aere both members of the Montana Conservation Corps. We went on large road trips together, one of which lasted three months where we lived and loved together in the back of my old toyota pickup while travelling the winter months in Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, California and OR/WA back to Idaho/Montana. This song is about the ways love need to be maintained and cherished regardless of routine or how much lovers take each other for granted. Because once they are gone, they are Gone For Good.

Why We're In Love

Acoustic singer songwriter Bryan Harwood proclaims the almighty glory of the one true God through an organic and simplistic musical format with an acoustic guitar and a natural voice. When there's too much production and spacey future sounds in worship music, I believe it takes the heart away from the human soul's relationship with God as it dilutes the meaning of the songs. The focus is Father, the Son, and the Holy spirit. These Lyrics are directly inspired by the Gospels and of biblical themes that focus on repentance, grace, and obedience to Christ as we pursue salvation.
