In this episode, I chat to Scottish DJ & Producer - Mark Sherry. 

I've known Mark for a number of years and he's one of the most genuine guys in our scene. This is a really personal episode as Mark speaks for the very first time about the impact of losing his best friend to suicide in 2007. We also speak about the detrimental effect that this third lockdown has had on our physical and mental health, and how our creative inspiration has been greatly reduced over the past twelve months. Anger & frustration are the two main emotions discussed in this Podcast. 

We also chat about the importance of sleep, health and fitness, and taking care of ourselves amongst many other topics. 

This is one of my favourite shows to date, I think that the themes discussed in this episode will resonate with a lot of people out there.

CHAT - EP 05 (with Mark Sherry)

In this episode, I speak to my friend and long-time colleague Fadi from Aly & Fila.

Fadi speaks in depth about the impact that the past twelve months has had on his physical and mental health. He tells us about how he has struggled with moments of worry and overthinking, and the guilt that he has felt in the past by being away from his children. He also speaks about the trauma he experienced on a flight almost twenty years ago. 

We share memories from the time we've spent together on tour over the past ten years, our most embarrassing moments, our hopes for the future and our mutual love for Argentina.

Rhys Thomas - SLAMM'D! 080 (March 2021 Guest Mix Rob Davies)

In this episode, I speak to my long time friend Neal Scarborough. 

Neal is one of the owners of the Music First Talent Agency and is heavily involved in the management of artists and their development. 

The first few episodes of the Podcast have focused on how the last twelve months have affected touring artists, so I wanted to gain a better understanding of the impact that this has on people working behind the scenes in the dance music industry.

In the first hour, we discuss in detail our scepticism of how the past year has been handled. We discuss our mutual anger and frustration as well as our confusion about everything got to do with lockdowns and COVID-19. We discuss the mainstream media, the calculation of the daily stats, and not knowing what to believe. This topic is something that has severely affected both of our mental health over the past year. 

The second hour is all about mental health, as Neal discusses in detail his first ever panic attack. We talk about strategies to deal with feeling overwhelmed, self-care, self awareness and taking ownership of what you are feeding your body and mind in order for you to deal better with thoughts and emotions, and forgiving Thierry Henry.

Kyle has appeared on MTV shows such as Geordie Shore and The Challenge, and is the first non dance music guest to appear on the Podcast. He is a huge fan of dance music and is a regular attendee of festivals like Creamfields & A State Of Trance. I've known Kyle since he was 17 years of age, after we first met each other in Ibiza.

He speaks about the dark side of fame, dealing with online and real-life abuse from the public, living with type 1 diabetes, mental health, suicide, the benefits of weekly therapy for his well-being, and lots more.

CHAT - Negativity Bias & The Inner Critic (Bonus Episode)

We take a deep dive into discussing our personal experiences about the death of a parent. My father passed from Pancreatic Cancer in 2016, and Sneijder's passed last year in the middle of the Pandemic. We discuss the various stages of grief and learning how to cope with a sense of loss.
