It was great to be back in the USA, for the first time in two and a half years. 

This is the recording of my set, as I closed out the Hydra Stage at the very first Dreamstate Harbor event in Los Angeles. 

I played a couple of new remixes from myself, as well as a number of unreleased tracks.

Responsible for a huge part of the development of the world’s biggest and most reputed electronic music scene, Ellen Allien has been active wearing various hats in music since the late 80’s / early 90’s as an artist, a DJ, a label owner, and a radio show host pushing other artists as far and large as Apparat or Modeselektor, even releasing the debut Moderat Album on her own BPitch Control, to pushing some of the earliest Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann records all the way to being responsible for close to the entirety of Paul Kalkbrenner’s catalog for almost a decade…

even if it was the 30th place losing remix in the legendary remix competition since the melodic choices in this track repulse the ears of pop music producers and listeners alike. They can’t begin to understand harmonic choices such as the Dbmaj7 chords that play over an A note sung by Mapei resulting in a dissonant sound similar to an Augmented Major 7th, nor can they understand music created outside of 440Hz tunings and I’m not coping at all lmao.

Also, once again my apologies for this track only getting up to about -6.5 short term LUFS since we all know that level sounds extremely amateur and not good. Maybe I’ll upload new versions of all my released tracks (which are quieter than a library) so they all reach at least -4 or ideally -3 LUFS (short term) :)
