Sensei Hanzo (SXDNS065) needs no introduction amid the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene. With recent well-received appearances on Melomana, PlayPal, Sonido Moderna, and ODD Pleasures, the owner of the beloved-by-all Belly Dance Services is back on the Mexico-born Spain-based outlet Bonkers with his brand-new endeavour: “Frequent Habits” comes with his characteristic hard-to-pigeonhole mosaic of soundscapes featuring complex percussive elements combined with an acid and rebel attitude. An insightful concoction triggered by his incredible multi-cultural background and fresh influences. On the remix duties, the EP presents none other than master Balam (SXDNS048), the powerful Brazilian duo Moozeic, and Ludviq, the label honcho himself. 

 

If the original of “La Chapelle” supplies the full-pack of Hanzo’s aforementioned “hard-to-pigeonhole mosaic of soundscapes featuring complex percussive elements combined with an acid and rebel attitude”, Moozeic’s interpretation, premiered here, delivers a smoothier and more psychedelic take and brings the theme a shard of House-Music-infused gait.

Ransom Note Records sub label Insult To Injury are delighted to welcome back analogue techno pioneers Buran with their second full length excursion for the label, in the form of The Hunter EP. Born of the mechanical machinations of Joe Wretham and Ian Scott, their latest instalment of furious face melters is aimed squarely at the post midnight dancefloor, bubbling away with squelchy 303 potions and black magic beats.

First single, Alnitak, opens the EP and immediately we’re confronted with Buran’s inimitable modus operandi; slash and burn Acid Techno with a scorched earth ethos. A full frontal assault of acidic sorcery, lobbing techno bangers over the ramparts as the castle walls are pummelled. Hold onto your hats, it’s not for the faint of heart!

Alnilam is next out the gate, ricocheting off the armour plating of its enemies, bouncing along and razing everything in its path to the ground. We’re delivered brief respite from the brutality with the addition of some celestial vocal edits, whose angelic timbres provide juxtaposition to the synthetic onslaught. As the smoke clears, the penultimate Mintaka glides into view. Wonderfully barbed, but gloriously lush chords propel the track forward, over a bed over automaton drum machines and staccato blips, bleeps and swirling noise.

Rounding off, ITI are hyped to have the mighty Void Complet on remix duties. Fresh off the back of his breakthrough release on CHOBU Records, London based super producer Chog Burley takes Alnitak and reimagines it in his own image. Launching with a rich, metallic arpeggio, we’re drawn into an analogue dream, before realising that’s all a ruse. We have been lulled into a false sense of security, because we’re about to be clattered around the head by that savage 303 riff from the original. We’re caught in the crossfire as glitched vocals and bit crushed acid lines vie for dominance. This correspondent knows not how to fully encapsulate the terror of this remix… watch out dance floors around the world!

In times where god is a DJ and rave culture has drastically changed, it’s kind of a humor: Using a Monty Python sample, bringing in cheesy saxophones (nobody likes them?) and not taking yourself to serious.
Am I too old, or am I still young?”

The B side goes hand in hand with the A-side, a bit faster with a baseline driven groove. “Community/Quality/Trust” is asking the audience in a club what they are seeking for.

Last but not least “Sax To Max” brings back the saxophone in a Kesslerish house-extravaganza. Three different layers of basslines guiding you through the deepness of the night …

Desert Hearts Black is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated debut release from emerging artist, @MichaelBaaay. The "3B's" EP featuring the tracks "For Free" and "Hear Me?” promises a heavy hitting entry into the world of electronic music.

The release encapsulates the essence of House and Techno with pulsating rhythms, captivating melodies, and infectious beats. The EP showcases two stellar tracks each uniquely crafted to transport listeners into a realm of electrifying soundscapes. “For Free” is a raw track that fuses a hypnotic bassline with intricate percussions and hypnotic vocals, perfect for igniting the dance floor. With “Hear Me?” the guys bring the listeners on a journey with haunting vocals, wicked synths and a driving beat, designed to captivate and inspire.

UK-born, Lisbon-based DJ, Producer, Songwriter, and activist Megatronic joins the RNT roster with her ‘Do I Belong To You?’ EP, a bold statement of her soulful and visionary sound.
Side A opens with the deeply emotive ’The World’ featuring soulful and melancholic vocals by Stavros, then moves to the pulsating and freewheeling groove of ‘Nuffin’ But Love’ (co-produced by Jitwam) finishing with the jazzy vibes of ‘Organic’, with Meg’s sultry spoken poetry floating over live instrumentation. On the flip side two superlative remixes by heavyweights Jimpster and Kiko Navarro take Meg’s music straight to the dance floor, with Jimpster bringing is his signature lush deep textures to ‘Been Thinking’ (the original of which is available as part of the digi EP only) and Kiko delivering an acid afro-house banger of a mix on ‘The World.’ 
A gorgeous listen from beginning to end, this EP captures a sound that feels both classic and futuristic all at once.

This time with our beloved friend from Ecuador, Spektrx, in collaboration with Foozz from Costa Rica, they have created Unssen Presence EP, they have produced two incredible tracks loaded with many psychedelic vibrations and groove sounds typical of Psy-Tech, a musical style that represents both of them. 
Unssen Presence & Expired are the gems of this EP. 
A remix created by Iranian producer Psysha, Psy-Tech in the purest style. The second remix made by Argentine producer BOES, known for his Minimal Techno style without forgetting Psychedelic frequencies. 
All artists involved in this release are heavyweights, signed to the world's most important labels in the world of Psy-Tech and Minimal Techno. 
Remixes were a must, including one by Iranian producer Psysha, who delivers a remix in pure Psy-Tech style.
