The thing to do for a Hip Hop or R&B track that samples old Soul records is to speed up the samples. I have the multitrack to this Marvin Gaye song, and wondered what would happen if the entire song were remixed in that style. James Jamerson's bass sounds awesome against heavy sampled drums!
