The Boardroom

Here are two brief interludes written for film. Films contain quite a lot of incidental music, in very short bursts. These brief snippets of larger works will often appear throughout a film & are often revisited in a longer version of the piece, featuring & expanding on the same melodic ideas. 

Two Interludes

"Forgiveness" is a track that I composed for a short film I'm currently working on, and I'm hoping it makes the final soundtrack. It has an emotional resonance & would be well suited in a scene about a reunion, atonement, the conclusion of an emotional storyline, or something along those lines. I think this track has a nice feel about it, that it could capture two characters at the end of their story ark, when their lives are restored once again..

Forgiveness

This track is another example of an interlude or brief piece of music to transition from one mood to another, hence the name. It has a change of feeling, of emotion and tempo that would correspond with a scenes story arc, even a transition between two scenes all together. I love the dynamic changes in this piece and how it takes you on a short 76second journey. 

The Transition

This is an extended orchestral version of an earlier piece written for an Australian Independent Film "World War Future". It has a more developed theme and crescendos in towards the end, leading up to a softer, more minimal ending, almost coming full circle with the leading melody.

Update 24th Nov 2014: I've just become a semi-finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition for this track! I'm so excited & will update this post when winners are announced at the end of the year!
