Dwelling within the heart of the Everlight for millennia, the seed of shadow could feel the presence of its ancestors. It knew that Rayknor was here, and it was time to claim final dominion, for what had begun as a seed, had grown and twisted into an abomination of darkness. The Everlight begun to crack, and as it shattered, tendrils of shadow seeped out and began to consume Aryndor from its very heart. The keep crumbled and collapsed, and the sky blackened as shadow consumed light in a devastating calamity. All hope now seemed to be lost. . . but a small glimmer of light remained. The hero survived, and with him, a small glimmer hope in this era of darkness.

The hero had resumed consciousness in the ruins of the once great keep. All hope had been lost, yet something lived within him. For in the midst of chaos and destruction, a shard of the Everlight had forged with the hero's heart. He did not know this, but the last of the Everlight now lived inside of him. What he did know however, was that this was not the end. He knew that he would live to reclaim what once was, and he would fight to his dying breath through the hordes of Rayknor if he had to.

Pegasus was a practice trailer cue I wrote, and it turned out to be a lot of fun. The track seemed kind of gallopy and reminded me of flying, so I named it after the mythological winged horse. The core ideas in this piece are militarism and tragedy. If you've seen Fullmetal Alchemist/FMA Brotherhood, the story here will shape up fairly clearly in your mind. This track has been circulating for a while now since I saw the show a few years back, and I thought I'd finally wrap it up. 

Among other things, I'm hoping this track will make for a continuation of fairly consistent uploads. I'm aiming for new music every 2-3 weeks on Fridays. It's going to be hard to keep up, but I'll try. Thanks for listening!

Unlike a majority of my compositions, this was composed directly in my DAW. Also I have no idea what genre this is supposed to be. Cinematic-hybrid sci-fi espionage-rock, maybe? I just kind of went with it. It is what it is.
