a bunch of my local vancouver electronic muso buddies decided to have an impromptu jam at a local park (with like 24 hours notice).  on a whim i decided to rush out a bunch of lsdj acid/rave patterns of varying quality literally in the 2-3 hours before meeting up with the crew lol!  

it's been a while since i've posted any LSDJ material (lots of new stuff on the way though!) but i figured i may as well just throw this momentary diversion up on soundcloud for you to enjoy in the meantime.

i performed this song to kick off my live set at the 19th edition of Sequential Circus (a local concert series featuring Live PA electronic musicians).  i figured a lot of people there would likely have zero idea what chip music even _is_, so i specifically tried to write a jam that would concisely demonstrate the limited hardware that was at play, while leaving some openings for live manipulation.  

Thanks to the Sequential Circus crew for having me on the lineup - i had a blast!

the final track in my WeeklyBeats 2016 challenge! missed a couple weeks here and there but i stuck through it for the most part, with 49 out of 52 weekly tracks total.

been playing a lot with KORG Gadget this past year and i've found it to be an amazingly flexible and productive piece of music software that's only gotten more powerful with each update. i've tried to put it through its paces with as many different styles as i could think of and the app acquitted itself far better than i expected. check out some of the other tracks over here btw: weeklybeats.com/#/bryface

a new girl appears! (DS-10)

i'm not dead!  this was a quick jam I made in an hour and a half at Loop Sessions Vancouver, a monthly meetup where attendees sample 3 minutes' worth from a vinyl chosen by the show curators, and then go off and use those samples to create a track on their platform of choice, which they are then encouraged to share to the other attendees on the venue's sound system.

dear lord was this a rush job.   started on a wednesday.  super busy week.  had only 6 hours or so to write it.  still, it surprisingly had some really good parts!  

managed to submit this with only 3 minutes to spare before the deadline.  in fact i think i was probably the very last entry that squeezed through.

i don't think i'll leave this version up for too long though, i'll probably replace it for a moar bettar version for an upcoming album.
