An electronic, organic, and acoustic sound exploration. After their first collaboration in 2022 with the EP Maa Kuuluu, Vinzoo and Qosqi reunite for a new, sensitive and atmospheric project: SU FO, a subtle blend of electronic textures and live instruments.

This 5-track EP offers an introspective journey where machines converse with matter. Between enveloping synthetic layers, soft percussions and finely integrated acoustic instruments, each piece constructs an immersive atmosphere, halfway between the intimate and the dreamlike but still anchored in reality. Machines and instruments speak to each other in a sensitive, sometimes minimalist, always sincere language.

Far from the strict codes of a genre, SU FO draws a free line, somewhere between downtempo and electro-organic. It's an invitation to relax, to deep listening. Each piece weaves a link between human and environment, with hybrid styles that escape labels. This project invites an inner journey, a gentle drift, and attentive listening.

With a consistently sincere and artisanal approach, Vinzoo & Qosqi affirm their artistic partnership, combining refined sound design and acoustic spontaneity. An EP to listen to in one go, with headphones on or as a suspended moment in the background. Between machines and materials, SU FO tells a moving story. A free, profound, human, and unclassifiable EP.

While on the endless search for interesting things to sample I came across this great little tune, rearranged it a bit,  and added lots of fun stuff. 
And because I recently got my thousandth follower (and because it's Friday) I want to celebrate a little and give it to you lot!

The remix story starts with the Bird and the Human. They discover that they can interact with one another and start to benefit from each other. Contentedness is spreading and they both put lots of energy in this connection. Its a peaceful giving and receiving, a considerate sharing and caring.

MAUGLI’s debut hits off with two fresh tracks for our free download series.
The first song „Away“ starts dark with choppy guitar licks, chants and arpeggios, repeating, twirling and pulling you in, drawing you deep into its rhythmic african  world.

A warm percussive piece, underlined by deep bass and shaky synths, warping and weaving in and out.
Schweben’s „Away“,a sample of Merlui Miranda’s „Pamé Daworo“, Ogoya Nengo and The Dodo Women’s Group’s „Kadana“ have been worked into the track.


„I bought a Shotgun“ the infamous Screamin’ Jay Hawkins used by 
sample trio „Den Sorte Skole“, returns to stage.
Based on the pounding guitar pattern of Damon’s Song „Did You Ever“
Maugli kickstarts his second track with a bass and a beat that gets your teeth churning and shakes you to the bone.
With delightful twists and turns the track becomes a catchy 
headbanger that is hard to resist.

MAUGLI - Did You Ever (Edit)

As the final piece of her 25th anniversary, DJ Isis is now presenting her new project ‘Isis & Mozes’ to the world. Their debut EP 'OSTARA' is released April 12th, 2018 at KROOKS Records. OSTARA is the outcome of an intensive collaboration with her new studio partner Mozes.

On OSTARA, Isis & Mozes worked with different musicians, instrumentalists, and vocalists. These are the key ingredients that formed the basis for the compositions made by @isismozes. In addition to the electronic parts of the compositions, Isis & Mozes used different types of instruments featuring Mozes on guitar and Isis on vocals.

Besides their own compositions, one of the tracks on OSTARA is produced in collaboration with colleague-producer and dj: @tripjag. In addition, the producers-trio @yorkultura made a hefty remix of their track Aerial for the EP. More info on the EP: www.krooks-records.com/album/isismozes-ostara
