Brynmor is a rock band from Cape Town, South Africa, that consists of front-man/rhythm guitarist Brinn Tomes, pianist Stuart Priede and Gerhard Grobler on the bass as the permanent band members.

The band was formed in January 2010 when Tomes decided to pick up his guitar and start writing music after 8 years of not playing at all. A collaboration between Tomes and Priede led to the formation of the band and with the help of local session musicians, they continued working on their sound. After 6 month they were joined by Grobler on the bass to form what is now known as Brynmor. In March 2013, fueled by a mutual interest in creating the best sound possible, Tomes and Grobler built a recording studio called Platinum Studios, to further develop the band's unique sound and to collaborate with other artists on their album.  In July 2013 their first single entitled "Sail Away" was recorded at Platinum Studios and upon its release shot to the top of the ReverbNation Rock Charts reaching 1st and 2nd spot for the Cape Town and ZA charts, respectively for 7 consecutive weeks.

Music has always been a part of Brynmor's lives and continues to be the driving force on which they rely to further their careers. Tomes played guitar and wrote songs for 17 years prior to taking a break from his music while Priede spent many of his years mastering the piano and excelling in music-theory; he has also played in various other local bands. Grobler is no stranger to the music scene, having spent more than a decade playing in rock bands and furthering his skills as a sound engineer he has become a respected name in the music industry. Brynmor makes use of some of the top session musicians in the country to complete their sound when performing live gigs.

Brynmor is currently busy recording their debut album, "The Discovery" which is set to be released early in 2014. They are also in the process of confirming dates for a U.S tour planned for 2014. Fans can be on the lookout for some new releases that will be made available for free download in upcoming months.
