Disquiet Junto Project 0603: Animated Suspension
The Assignment: Record a piece of music that suggests something floating in air.

Step 1: Consider various music techniques you might employ to suggest (or imitate, or insinuate) that something is floating in air.

Step 2: Select one of the techniques you considered in Step 1 and experiment with it a bit.

Step 3: Record a piece of music built around the technique you focused on in Step 2.

Eight Important Steps When Your Track Is Done:

Step 1: Include “disquiet0603” (no spaces or quotation marks) in the name of your tracks.

Step 2: If your audio-hosting platform allows for tags, be sure to also include the project tag “disquiet0603” (no spaces or quotation marks). If you’re posting on SoundCloud in particular, this is essential to subsequent location of tracks for the creation of a project playlist.

Step 3: Upload your tracks. It is helpful but not essential that you use SoundCloud to host your tracks.

Step 4: Post your track in the following discussion thread at llllllll.co:

All sounds you hear are derived from a recording of the remote headphone connection breaking up whilst playing the haiku original. The eclectic music maker has a new album, Dub Section, for 2024. Forty-five minutes of dub signifies a return to roots reggae and dub for the independent artist, writer and producer, Tim Jones, who has been releasing music as Brynovsky since 2010. From his studio in Scotland he has recycled some previous recordings in true dub style and is releasing one track per week until January 2024 ahead of the full  release.

His third album, Future Weather (2020), steered a committed line through political pop and reflective mantra to thickly-layered dub tones and harmonies. The “sweet, sweet sounds of Brynovsky” (Fresh on the Net, 2014) are here matched against inequality, climate change and the rise of the Right. 
Legendary artist and DJ, Tom Robinson, described Brynovsky as a “splendid discovery” and has been played twice on his BBC 6Music show.
