This is a progressive metal song I made, more of an idea. This was influenced by Opeth, Dream Theater, Metallica and Porcupine Tree. Hope You Like It. :)

I used in built Software Instruments in Logic Pro to get the keyboard and other sounds effects.

It's Music Monday! This week we have a remix of the Dragon Roost Island theme from The Wind Waker. Wind Waker has one of the best soundtracks in all of videogame history and is also one of the best videogames in all of history. It was a huge part of my childhood and I had a lot of fun doing a remix for a track from it!

This is another one of those "I don't even really know what genre this is" kind of remixes. It kind of starts off with this Tropical Celtic (Tropiceltic? I'm using that) Folk Rock vibe and then it gets all orchestral and there's a percussive breakdown and then space whale just up out of nowhere. I guess we can call it Symphonic Tropiceltic Folk Rock and call it a day. Or just call it music, because it's probably not even really necessary to obsessively categorize and label things.

I added a lot of personal touches to this remix, as you can tell. I made that super sweet bassline a little more prominent, and played around with some of the themes in the original song. I also wrote up the orchestral moments [loosely] based on some of the chord progressions and harmonies in the original. And, as always, I completely revamped the drumline/percussive ensemble (except not really, because a lot of it is still borrowed from the original).
