After talking with John O'Callaghan in Ibiza 2009 & receiving his huge support of Aztec, a plan was formed to work on a collab together at some point in the future.
Well the collab came in the form of Rhea which featured the vocals of Aztec's Polly Strange but this time used as a more stand alone aspect of the track instead of a combination of main riff & vocal.

Rhea was played extensively in Live Sets by Armin Van Buuren & also heavily supported by Sean Tyas, Bryan Kearney & the rest of the Irish Trance DJ's as well as many others.

Named after the mother of the Gods, Rhea was a big summer anthem of 2010 & signed to John's Subculture label.

DT8 Project, an alias of veteran trance producer Darren Tate, returns to Anjunabeats with a two-part EP entitled ‘Where Do We Go From Here’. Part one is out now.

A classically trained musician, Darren has been composing club music since the early 00’s. He’s the founder of Mondo Records, and has collaborated with Boy George and Jono Grant from Above & Beyond. Discerning clubbers of a certain age will undoubtedly have fond memories of tracks like ‘It’s My Turn’ (as Angelic) and ‘The Theme’ (as Jurgen Vries). Darren has soundtracked over 15 feature films.

His debut outing on Anjunabeats as DT8 Project was ‘Cycles’ in 2019, followed by double A-side ‘Carry On / We Are Oxygen’. 

‘Where Do We Go From Here pt. 1’ is out now, with part two set for release early in 2021.
