Creating music since 2011, Dmytros’ taste has been shaped by the different sounds of funk, jazz, soul, disco and old school hip-hop and in the last months, the artist has settled himself in the sound of old school Chicago house and Detroit techno, which significantly influenced his music taste while creating the composition “Egoxiety”, an energetic techno banger with an original authentic sound using synthesizers and drum machines of Chicago & Detroit eras.

Contributing to the Directors Cut series are core label members, friends, and artists who have supported VOITAX over the years. Each contributor is selected for their unique sound and bold vision. This series is not bound to any genre. The label encourages contributors to step outside the ordinary – anything goes!

The first edition will feature tracks from VOITAX veterans Swarm Intelligence and Rory St. John alongside new contributors, who need little introduction, Rave Or Die boss, Umwelt and Downwards affiliates, Talker.

Umwelt opens up proceedings on the A-side with Time Crystal. An epic arpeggiated journey that climaxes into an apocalyptic electro cut – a style that the producer is celebrated for in both his productions and DJ sets. Rory St. John’s track Rotoscopus  bears all the nuances of contemporary electro, its chassis rife with swing and melody pausing only for moments, to brandish a tough, techno skeleton beneath.

Talker’s Inchoate lays down a piercing, percussive skirmish which serves as ode to techno minimalism.This stripped-back piece is a testament to the virility of a strong, dynamic groove. Swarm Intelligence brings the Various Artist to a close with Cumulus, a jungle-indebted slab of cinematic electronica. Densely textured, its grainy synths provide occasional flickers of light in an otherwise bleak dystopia.

Releases will be on 12” vinyl, hand-stamped and limited to 300 copies.

As a DJ and producer, she combines rave, electro, and techno aesthetics with an underlying feeling of freedom and carelessness. Her new EP ‘Just Somewhere’ showcases just that, with 6 tracks ranging across different styles, each embodying a different part of what Nina has to offer. She's not shy to put herself on the forefront either, with the tracks 'Shut Up' and 'I Remember' containing lyrics sang by Nina herself. The future looks bright for this up and coming artist and we couldn't be more proud to showcase her talent on Intercept.

The fifth release on NECHTO Records brings you an all-powerful auditory experience.

After his first major live performance in Kyiv on Nechto’s biggest showcase event of the year, Symonenko is finally ready to present his debut EP. For Symonenko, music is a form of speech and fuel, and the further he progresses in his creative journey, the harder it is to uncover expressions that are authentic. Yet through fueling his exploration of music, the artist creates mesmeric audio narratives that carry the listener into dreamlike soundscapes.

“When I perform, I try to create a space where people's thoughts can effortlessly float. I want them to think about their lives in a new way! The more I evolve as an artist, the more I want to create an environment from unknown materials - super metals and synthetic ceramics of sorts. It's a world where people can see themselves from new perspectives, which is granted by the reflective nature of these unusual materials.”

The tracks from the EP were created in periods of being overwhelmed and inspired by raves in concrete spaces - two tracks from the release were written after a party on a Saturday morning in a half-awake state and right before daytime work.

"Symonenko is a new name on the Ukrainian dance music scene and I am so excited to see how he will grow as an artist," says Nastia. "The 'max4live' track from the new release captured my heart from the moment I first heard it. This debut EP is a captivating and powerful piece of work and I am glad that it is now a part of the NECHTO imprint."
