One of Viper’s newest and most exciting signing's, Australian brothers Jeff and Jono Hansen, otherwise known as Ekko & Sidetrack, have been turning heads the world over since their debut release on the label.The duo have proven their talent time and time again with tracks like ‘Exotic Robotics’, ‘Let The Light In’, and ‘Combat’ all doing rounds in the DJ circuit, met with high praise along the way.

Now, after their recent exclusive signing , Ekko & Sidetrack are once more making waves with their latest release, ‘Black Stone’. A funky, dark take on the genre’s jungle origins, the track is witty and charismatic and another strong addition to the sound the formidable duo are forming for themselves.

Old school jungle hi-hats give the track an inimitable energy, while deep, groovy, seemingly irregular basslines add a sinister flair to the mix. Destined to destroy dancefloors left and right, the track exudes menacing yet undeniably catchy vibes, a testament to both their skills and versatility as producers.

Proving Viper’s innate ability for scouting talent, Ekko & Sidetrack have not ceased to impress since their initial release, and if ‘Black Stone’ is to be any indication, there is a lot more to expect from these two.

Terabyte Records re-emerge from a winter of hibernation with a barnstorming update of their ‘Remixes, vol’ series, dipping into releases of the recent past and giving them a brand new lick for 2019 from two reputable label bosses from the D&B scene. 

The a-side remix of a new classic, Marsden’s ‘Aether’, comes from US-based liquid genius, Random Movement. Famous for his Flight Patterns podcasts and his label of the same name, he puts his own jazzy spin on Marsden’s beautiful original.

The b-side remix is right at the other end of the spectrum, as Nurtured Beatz co-boss Kalm entirely reskins Quantum Mechanix’s ‘Vendetta’. As well as his solo work, Kalm is known as part of collab group Kolectiv of Dispatch, Diffrent and Cyberfunk fame amongst others, and his talents shine through in this merky reinterpretation.

Co-founder Auzi is particularly proud to get back to a remix series that was last picked up over 5 years ago: 

“It excites us equally as much bringing established talent into our roster as it does giving opportunities to blood new ones – remix packages are a perfect opportunity to do both. Whatever flavour you’re into, this fits the bill.”

This release sets the bar high for the rest of 2019, and we can’t wait to unleash other projects!

With Quarter To Quarter, Amsterdam-based record label The North Quarter delivers its first compilation album: a manifesto and its most ambitious project to date.

The 14 track project features prominent vocalists IAMDDB and Azekel, Bass Music legends Total Science and Break and all the core artists that have made Lenzman’s boutique label the breath of fresh air it is today.

The North Quarter is a collective of artists from around the globe, brought together through a shared love for the authentic. The imprint has become a household name in just a short space of time through ambitious and highly detailed artist projects. With Quarter to Quarter, a compilation of cutting edge Drum & Bass music, the label further solidifies its reputation and unique vision.

Never doing things the fast and easy way, the album was put together and nurtured by A&R and founder Lenzman over the course of 18 months.
