About a month ago, I was given the opportunity to play at a pop up coffee & music event for Espresso Sessions @ 10am. When they reached out to me, they were looking for someone to play melodic and deep house. It’s a genre I rarely get to play in front of an audience but one that I keep coming back to listen to over the last 5 years, and the genre that introduced me to house music. I'm glad I get to pay homage to it.

Angrybaby is a 25-year-old Asian-American producer and DJ from Albany, California, who has quickly emerged as one of dance music’s most exciting new talents. With roots in classical piano and early experience producing hip-hop beats, he later found his calling in electronic music through the Bay Area’s DJ and community event scene. Since debuting his breakout EP REGULARITY in 2023, Angrybaby has built a devoted fanbase, earned multiple viral hits, and performed at major festivals like Outside Lands and Splash House, establishing himself as a rising force shaping the future of house and melodic dance music.

Creekside is an open-air cultural venue located beneath the Kosciuszko Bridge in North Brooklyn’s Under the K Bridge Park. Set along Newtown Creek within a reclaimed industrial zone, the space combines striking concrete architecture with reforested landscapes to create a raw yet inviting backdrop for music, art, and community events. Known for its thoughtful programming, Creekside has quickly become a standout destination for electronic music in New York, hosting both international talent and emerging local artists in a setting that feels both urban and unexpectedly transformative.

Gray Area's mission is to build a bigger house music community in North America by helping fans discover exciting house music artists, event brands and festivals that are new to them.

that it became a long-term goal of mine to one day play on their car. A few years later, I got the invite, and I knew I had to come proper, so I prepped for months, making edits and reaching out to other artists for remixes that would fit the vibe.

All of these remixes were crafted specifically for my Burning Man set.. some of my biggest tracks reimagined and reborn in the desert.

After reflecting on the energy we felt that weekend, we wanted to share that experience with the world, to carry the magic of The Playa beyond its borders. On top of my special ‘crystallized’ playa rework, we tapped some of our favorite producers from within the community.. artists who live and breathe it’s ethos & whose sounds perfectly capture its beauty, grit, and radical expression
