Profound Sounds Episode 7 - Live From Warung Beach Club (Brazil)

In Hour 2 it's DJ Food, who has been a fan of Belgian techno label, De:tuned, for a while so was thrilled when they asked him to design the artwork for their new 'Brainbox' compilation. Over a year in the making, the six LP box set features a who's who of electronic legends, some of which can be heard in this specially commissioned mix that also includes past De:tuned releases and forthcoming exclusives. Past Solid Steel guest mixers Kirk DeGiorgio, The Future Sound of London, Scanner, Meat Beat Manifesto, Mike Paradinas all feature as well as Plaid, Speedy J, David Morley, Metri and B12.

After last week’s 50th Source to Cycle podcast, from Mountain People, we continue to bring you some of the World’s finest DJs, and their ever eclectic mixes.  As always, the Cycle showcases our guest’s current DJ style, whilst the Source mix let’s them delve deeper into their record collections, for an ‘anything goes’ set.

As so this week we are proud to welcome Ian Pooley, one of house music’s legends, and all round nice guy.  Pooley began his career in the early 90s, recording for labels like Force Inc, Definitive, NRK and V2, as well as labels like Plus 8 (for his Silvershower alias).  Remixes for hundreds of acts like Daft Punk, The Beloved, Green Velvet, Yello, X-Press 2 and many more, plus of course a DJ career that has taken him around the world many times over, Pooley still fires on all cylinders after all these years.  Check out his new album, ‘What I Do’, on his own Pooledmusic label.

endeavours such as booting up her alter-ego Baby T, Price’s passion has never wavered. In that time,

orbit the groove-rich, percussion-driven poles of the hardcore continuum. Swing by any B.Traits set
and you’ll hear an eclectic mixture of deep, percussive, rolling techno grooves; find yourself at the

And for all her dedication to the dance, the more ambient-leaning releases of Price’s own Paciphonic
