Claude Pascal: Quatuor pour saxophones

The B.T. Williams Quartet was formed in 2012 as a classical chamber ensemble at the University of Victoria. Dedicated to exploring diverse and exciting repertoire, the quartet presented a debut recital in 2015 and were featured as soloists with the UVic Wind Symphony in 2016. Together, Austin, Seán, Lee and Zach bring a mosaic of musical interests to their work as active performers, composers, academics and educators.

From those classical origins, the quartet took their vivacious energy and refined musical chemistry to the streets of downtown Victoria in 2016, sharing a unique mix of classical and popular styles with visiting tourists and locals alike. Covering everything from Queen and Taylor Swift to the film scores of John Williams, all through carefully-crafted arrangements combining saxophones and inventive percussion instruments, the B.T. Williams Quartet has since become a fixture of the Victoria busking scene.
