Friends of Ecke is the start in a series of digital releases by 
Ecke Records, showcasing not only artists from around the world, 
across a variety of different genres, but also putting the spotlight 
on two amazing initiatives from a selected city. 

The city chosen for FOE1 will be London. With awareness & 
proceeds focussed on: 

Deaf Rave - www.deafrave.com - a non-profit organisation 
supporting those suffering with varying levels of hearing 
impairment to enjoy electronic music & the arts surrounding it. 

Blueprint for all - www.blueprintforall.org - formerly The Stephen Lawrence Trust - an organisation addressing & tackling all forms of inequality, focussing on youth initiatives.

Berlin’s Open Music Lab is back with their second release: Quanta, out on 26-FEB-2022. We're excited to premiere one of the forthcoming contributions by morphena. 

morphena is an Argentinian-born emerging DJ and producer and has been a long-time student of OML and recently started becoming a mentor herself for new students. morphena describes the track as her first production where she can “imprint a hybrid between a club track and a song”, while keeping the lyrics as the main focus and center of the track - listen & support <3  

Open Music Lab: 
The OML label was born out of a supportive community of creatives from various backgrounds and abilities. It offers an opportunity for people to engage with unique blends of musical sounds that are enriched by different cultures and lived experiences. Quanta showcases the music and work of some of OML’s most committed students and mentors. This unique release shows the range of talent at OML and the musical bond and creative collaboration that comes out of the community. Each track on the release is produced by an OML student and is accompanied by a remixed version from their mentors.

Viikatory & Verde - Memory Protect

Over the last few months we’ve been working on a project that aims to raise awareness of an issue that keeps losing public awareness. In the hope of finding safety and protection in Europe and a fair asylum procedure, people are forced to cross the Mediterranean Sea in unseaworthy boats. Not only are state authorities and the European Union refusing to provide humanitarian aid, they are criminalizing civil sea rescue.
Because of this ongoing situation, we have started another fundraising campaign in order to make a small contribution to the essential work of Sea-Watch e.V. Their main goal is to try to save as many people as possible from drowning in the Mediterranean Sea. Additionally, they are committed to educating people about human rights violations at the European borders, for example with their podcast “Grenzerfahrung”.
We collected a variety of sounds by ten beloved artists to present our very first Various Artist EP: “Passages”.
All the collected proceeds will go straight to @seawatchcrew .

The "Peace Tomorrow V/A" collection unites various music genres for a common cause: to help the Ukrainian people in their struggle against Russian aggression. Proceeds from sales will be donated to provide much-needed assistance to those affected by the crisis.
