Jason Peters is a long time DJ (since the early 90s), producer (releasing since 2001), and label boss of Roam Recordings based out of San Francisco. Over the last decade Jason Peters and his label have been at the forefront of the indie dance/dark disco movement. Ransom Note puts it best: “Just like Jason's own productions, which also appear on the label, the music is dark and hypnotic, cosmic and driving - sounds that'll take you down a wormhole. There are a lot of labels and artists treading similar terrain these days, but Jason was spearheading this new wave of exciting and unique dance music a long time ago.

"I made this track after a gig in Seattle last year (2024). It was such a fun underground gig and it reminded me of my early rave days in the 90s. I wanted to capture that feeling - big, fun, psychedelic, electronic. I think it’s worth mentioning that the promoter of the event - DJ Recess - is the same person who gave the quote I referenced for It’s Ok to Be Sad. This was also the gig where Sharlese and I met in person. We now work together to host our Problèmes d'Amour parties in San Francisco."

"40 Thieves and Alona… these are my homies. I love working with them. Alona is also on my EP “In the Dark” which came out in October 2024. And they have another EP coming out with us in the Spring of 2025. I’ve also done some work with them on their Album “The Sky is Yours” that came out in 2014 on Leng. They even named a track after me - “JP Soul” which was my alias back then. 40 Thieves are known for their cosmic disco and 80s sounds which is a great fit for Roam. For my remix I wanted to contrast that with a stripped down pounding version with warehouse vibes. There’s also another version on the EP from Shubostar which plays up the italo sounds. You can probably tell I love this EP and all the people on it. "

Lee Burridge - DISTRIKT - Burning Man 2019

It’s been a while since I played DISTRIKT last. After this years experience I’m somewhat kicking myself. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a crowd at Burning Man so wild and fun. The party was electric. Fire! And, it was only Tuesday. ‘Pacing it’ was obviously out of the question for the five thousand or so that joined me. The Robot Heart bus rolled up and plugged in. Hoj tore the place up before me. Our day party extended into night and most of us left with a smile on our faces and an electricity that carried us forward. Beautiful people swung above the crowd in a birdcage (is that safe I kept asking myself in my head)and hips wiggled and swung while the multi-level dance floor bumped and bounced. Basically, best day party at Burning Man ever ever. So, thank you DISTRIKT for giving me an extended set and an amazing party to play. Let’s do it again next year. It’s a date?
