Women’s basketball standout Keisha Cox has been named the Smitty's Sportsline Lounge Female Athlete of the Month for February. Cox finished in the top five in the Canada West conference in four stat categories and led the team to the most wins in a season since 1984.

Men's basketball standout Pookie Saunders has been named the Smitty's Sportsline Lounge Male Athlete of the Month for February. Saunders played in 293 out of a possible 320 minutes and finished in the top-10 in scoring, assists and three point percentage among Canada West rookies.

The Brandon University men’s basketball team did not have to look far to land their first recruit of the off-season. Crocus Plainsmen standout Riley Schaus has signed with his hometown Bobcats and will red-shirt the 2016-2017 Canada West campaign.

The Brandon Bobcat women's soccer team made history on Sunday by capturing their first-ever Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference championship. Tournament MVP Jaycee Castle helped BU to a 3-1 win over the Red River Rebels in the final.

Bobcat volleyball standout Jeremy Davies delivered in November to earn Male Athlete of the Month honours.  Davies and the BU men's team are 7-and-3 and ranked #9 in the U Sport Top 10 going into the holiday break. The fifth-year libero is sitting second in Canada West in digs and digs per-set.

Bobcat basketball star Keisha Cox collected Female Athlete of the Month honours after a November to remember. She poured in 35 points as the Bobcats won their Canada West home opener en route to sweeping their opening weekend series. At the holiday break, Cox is second in the conference in points per-game and leads the nation in total points.

Basketball star Keisha Cox is the top female athlete on campus for the second time this season after getting the nod in November. As a result, she becomes the first Bobcat to win the Smitty’s Sportsline Lounge Athlete of the Month twice in one season.
