A joyous introduction to the Brooklyn artist, this single demonstrated an ability to strike the balance between classic and contemporary sounds seamlessly. Now, the record DAVIE himself describes as, “a dance song, not a gospel song,” gets four brand new remixes. Up first, Peppermint Jam boss Mousse T. plays to the gospel elements of the original, with deep, powerful chords and rhythmic claps, bringing a snapping groove to the cut. Next, London talent KDA goes for a clubbier sound, looping the vocal and raising the BPM. Alan Dixon’s funk-fuelled remix follows, with melodic keys and irresistible horns.
