I started Entanglements back in 2021 to be my first Phonk record series, and one to have a Valentine’s Day drop. I didn’t know what that’d sound like at the time, and certainly didn’t see it getting this far. The first two being EP’s, Entanglements 3 was a full album and arguably my best body of work to date. Each record has been written differently, in terms of where it’s come from mentally and emotionally.
With the first entry to the series, I was trying to get the love of the Phonk community. The second, I was trying to get the love of a girl. Entanglements 3 was written from the bottom of my heart, madly in love, trying to tell that story and express the hope, optimism and love I had been feeling. Entanglements 4 is my largest and arguably now my best body of work, but written from a much different place than its predecessor. 4 is expressing a lot of different feelings I felt in 3, as so much has changed in just a year.
But that’s okay, because it’s this tangled web we weave called life. 
Entanglements 4 opens with the infamous Red Table Talk between Jada & Will, to really lean into the namesake of the series and to highlight the place this record was written from. From there, the listener is taken on an abridged journey of the last few years of my life, and more specifically, the last year. 
Things have changed and are always ever-evolving, but the theme of the series remains the same - LOVE.
