1. A small lookout platform near the top of a ship's mast or superstructure.
2. A similar lookout platform located ashore.

"This is a collection of songs that I had to produce right away, as though I were on a crow's nest and I had to yell down to the deck an alarm. I wrote these songs in response to the threat the Pacific Northwest faces with proposed pipelines, an old friend's story about Japan after the Tsunami, and of course with a little bit of time dedicated to love, growing food and getting spiritually psychedelic ;P

It's a fun record written on an ukelele by the Ocean. It's about taking control of our lives and the world around us through compassion, joy and a kick-ass attitude based on a stubborn commitment to righteousness and compassion"

One of the most revolutionary things we can do is take back control of our food. In coming years this will become even more necessary as we deal with rising oil prices & transportation costs, GMO's & the threat to bio-diversity, global warming and regional & international food insecurity. Our communities and our health will be strengthened the more we can eat from our bio-regions, the more we break away from the corporate food industry, and the more we follow a plant-based diet. In this way, the simple act of growing our own food becomes an expression of personal and community power, and an act of Love and Harmony with the Earth".

Nor do I wish to offend Jesus or Christians. The other day we finished our set outside the CBC building in Vancouver and this woman asked me if we were Christian music because of the gospel call and response part, and seemed quite offended when I said I was a bit more of a Buddhist. But I asked her whether Jesus was all about Love and she enthusiastically said "yes!" and I told her I believe in Love, too… Then I sold her a t-shirt".

"A month after the Earthquake and Tsunami that hit Japan last year, my friend's mom went to visit family over there. She related to me of how she was walking in the middle of the darkened streets of Tokyo, which was still experiencing blackouts, and she could see the stars in all their majesty. By the look in her eye I could tell that this was a magnificent experience for her, and I could feel it as though I were there.
