The song and the video are two sides of the same coin and share the same thoughts. Thoughts about life in conurbations, and how much it is shaping, undermining, sometimes stifling our inner life. I’ll Begin embodies these thoughts through a story about inner conflict derived from the relationship with the suburbs where the protagonist has grown up, making use of a recondite and almost delirious lyrics.

The ideal environment to tell this story is the controversial New York City revealed in the video of the song (edited by Buckwise themselves). A New York City made of Manhattan’s huge sprawling buildings and degraded suburbs, made of Brooklyn Downtown and Williamsburg neighborhoods and crumbling metro stations.

A megalopolis sometimes so different from itself. A city where morphology and changing and evolving architecture influence the lives of its inhabitants. Where the size of the neighborhood can drag people in different and sometimes conflicting worlds.
