Erik Sumo is one of the most established Hungarian music producers of the last 20 years. His various acts gained national and international, underground and mainstream success, he scored movies - think of the now cult Liza, The Fox Fairy soundtrack on one of our early 7”-s. His latest album, ‘Mount Fuji’ came out in November 2019, it contains ‘Run Into The Wild’, an odd, yet catchy leftfield floor killer with an unmistakable mood built of sinister imaginings from the woods around Fujisan and glamorous disco vibes. On this his EP you can hear the previously unreleased disco dub version of the song and 3 remixes bringing the original to completely different directions. Mytron & Ofofo of Multi Culti and Les Yeux Orange fame chose to go the tribal way by adding some extra percussion and reconstructing the chorus making the track even more dance floor friendly than it was originally. Oakland based producer E. Live turned the tune into a contemporary boogie burner, while Budabeats staple M.W.D.’s version has an atmosphere that is impossible to describe.
Limited to 400 copies worldwide.

PAPERWORKS: 10 years ago the Lakeshouse-crew began making edits and boot-legged remixes for fun-and-DJ-fodder, dubbing them "BOKATAPES".

The records ranged from George Benson and Prince-bootlegs to Tatsuro Yamashita, or even Allan Lomax-recordings. The Benson, Lindstrøm and Eddie Rabbit-tracks were especially sought after, but they were available for download only a short time.

Now these, and a handful of the best ones have been sequenced into a mini mix here and all the individual tracks are up for grabs on the Paper Recordings bandcamp.

This is the first time you can listen to the rework done by Mytron & Ofofo of Multiculti fame, who chose to go the tribal way by adding some extra percussion and reconstructing the chorus, making the track even more dance floor friendly than it was originally.

Release date is the 14th of September, you can buy the EP in all big online record stores but the limited sticker sealed edition is only available at the Budabeats Bandcamp page:
